Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2018 Lincoln Navigator. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The RCM continuously monitors the second row left seatbelt buckle switch circuits for the following faults:
- Open circuit
- Short to voltage
- Short to ground

- Faulted second row left seatbelt buckle switch
If a fault is detected, the RCM stores DTC B140C:11, B140C:12, B140C:13 or B140C:1D in memory and sends a message to the IPC to illuminate the airbag warning indicator.
