Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2018 Lincoln Navigator. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The RCM continuously monitors the second row left seatbelt buckle switch circuits for the following faults:
- Open circuit
- Short to voltage
- Short to ground
- Current out of range
- Faulted second row center seatbelt buckle sensor
If a fault is detected, the RCM stores DTC B0054:11, B0054:12, B0054:13 or B0054:1D in memory. A faulted second row center seatbelt buckle sensor or a fault on the second row center seatbelt buckle sensor circuits does not illuminate the airbag warning indicator.

| B0054:12 | Second Row Center Seatbelt Sensor: Circuit Short to Battery | Sets when the RCM senses a short to voltage from the second row center seatbelt buckle sensor circuit for more than 6 seconds. |
| B0054:13 | Second Row Center Seatbelt Sensor: Circuit Open | Sets when the RCM senses an open from either second row center seatbelt buckle sensor circuit for more than 6 seconds. |
| B0054:1D | Second Row Center Seatbelt Sensor: Circuit Current Out of Range | Sets when the RCM measures current outside of an acceptable range from the second row center seatbelt buckle sensor circuit for more than 6 seconds. |
