Normal Operation and Fault Conditions

The RCM monitors the passenger front door, the second row left side impact sensor and the third row right side impact sensors and circuits for the following faults:
- Open circuit
- Short to voltage
- Short to ground
- Faulted passenger front door side impact sensor
If a fault is detected, the RCM stores DTC B1418:11 or B1418:93 in memory and sends a message to the IPC to illuminate the airbag warning indicator.
