Rear Bumper Cover: Removal

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting .
- On both sides. Remove the rivet blinds and the screw.
- Disconnect the rear bumper cover electrical connector.
- On both sides. Release the clips and remove the rear lamp cover assembly.
- With the help of an assistant. Remove the rear bumper cover.
- Remove the screws.
Torque: 35 lb.in (4 Nm)
- Release the sides of the rear bumper cover from the reinforcement assembly cover mountings.
- Release the tabs, lift the rear bumper cover up and remove the rear bumper cover.
- Remove the screws.
- Remove the screws, detach the retainer and remove the rear bumper isolator.
Torque: 35 lb.in (4 Nm)
- On both sides. Inspect the rear bumper reinforcement assembly cover mountings.
- If required, on both sides. Remove the screws and the rear bumper reinforcement assembly cover mountings.
Torque: 13 lb.in (1.5 Nm)
