Hood Latch Release Cable: Removal

  1. Remove the hood latch release handle. Refer to: Hood Latch Release Handle .
    1. Remove the pin-type retainers and position the air cleaner panel aside
    2. Release the clips and position the RH and LH cowl filler panels aside.

  2. Remove the pin-type retainers and the radiator sight shield.

  3. Remove the air cleaner. Refer to: Air Cleaner .
  4. Detach the hood latch release cable from the hood latch.

    1. Release the hood latch release cable from the mounting bracket.
    2. Detach the hood latch release cable eyelet from the hood latch.

  5. Route the hood latch release cable through the cowl.

    1. Release the cable routing clip.
    2. Route the hood latch release cable through the cowl.

  6. Route the hood latch release cable through the engine compartment.

    1. Route the hood latch release cable through the cowl.
    2. Release the cable routing clips.
    3. Route the hood latch release cable through the engine compartment.

  7. Remove the hood latch release cable.
