Hood Latch Release Cable: Installation

  1. Install the hood latch release cable.

    1. Route the hood latch release cable through the cowl.
    2. Attach the cable routing clip.

  2. Route the hood latch release cable through the engine compartment.

    1. Route the hood latch release cable through the cowl.

    3. Attach the cable routing clips.

  3. Route the hood latch release cable.

  4. Attach the hood latch release cable to the hood latch.

    1. Attach the hood latch release cable to the mounting bracket.
    2. Attach the hood latch release cable eyelet to the hood latch.

  5. Install the air cleaner. Refer to: Air Cleaner .
  6. Install the radiator sight shield and the pin-type retainers.

    1. Position the cowl filler panel and attach the clip.
    2. Position the air cleaner panel and install the pin-type retainers.

  8. Install the hood latch release handle. Refer to: Hood Latch Release Handle .
