Front Seat Cushion Extension Adjuster: Removal

NOTE: Driver seat with power head restraint shown, other seats similar.
  1. Remove the front seat. Refer to: Front Seat .
  2. Remove the side shield screws.

  3. Remove the LH side shield.

    1. Lift the side shield and pull outward.
    2. Push the side shield forward.

  4. Remove the RH side shield.

    1. Lift the side shield and pull outward.
    2. Push the side shield forward.

  5. Remove the front seat cushion cover. Refer to: Front Seat Cushion Cover .
  6. If equipped with climate control seats. Remove the front seat cushion blower motor. Refer to: Front Seat Cushion Blower Motor .
  7. If equipped with multi-contoured seats. Remove the front seat cushion adjuster. Refer to: Front Seat Cushion Adjuster - Vehicles With: Multi-Contour Seats .
  8. Remove the front seat backrest cover. Refer to: Front Seat Backrest Cover .
  9. Remove the screws and the LH inner shield.

  10. Remove the screws and the RH inner shield.

  11. On both sides. Remove the screws and lift the front seat valance.

  12. Remove the pin-type retainers and the front seat valance.

  13. Remove the DSM. Refer to: Driver Front Seat Module (DSM) .
  14. Detach and disconnect the electrical connectors.

    • Detach the electrical connector and position aside.

    • Remove the screws and position the wiring harnesses aside.

  15. Remove the bolts.

    Torque

    : 53 lb.in (6 Nm)

  16. Remove the screw and the front clamp.

  17. Remove the screws and position the rear clamps down.

  18. Lift the rear of the front seat cushion extension adjuster.
