- I1 CHECK FOR FCIM (FRONT CONTROLS INTERFACE MODULE) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)
- Ignition OFF.
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform FCIM self-test.
Are any FCIM Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) present?
Yes REFER to DTC Chart: FCIM . No GO to I2 - I2 CHECK THE FCIM (FRONT CONTROLS INTERFACE MODULE) HEATED SEAT CONTROL SWITCH PARAMETER IDENTIFICATIONS (PIDS)
- Start the engine.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, monitor the FCIM CC_SW_D_HSEATS and CC_SW_P_HSEATS Parameter Identifications (PIDs) while pressing and releasing the driver and passenger heated seat control switches.
Do the Parameter Identifications (PIDs) change when the driver and passenger heated seat control switches are pressed and released?
Yes GO to I3 No INSTALL a new FCIM. Refer to the appropriate Information and Entertainment Systems article for the procedure. - I3 CHECK THE HEATED SEAT VOLTAGE SUPPLY CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect: FCIM C2402B .
- Ignition ON.
- Measure:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead C2402B-1 Ground
Is the voltage greater than 11 volts?
Yes GO to I4 No VERIFY BJB fuse 77 (30A) is OK. If OK, REPAIR the circuit. If not OK, REFER to the Wiring Diagrams information to identify the possible causes of the circuit short. - I4 CHECK THE FCIM (FRONT CONTROLS INTERFACE MODULE) OPERATION
