Steering Column Shrouds: Removal

  1. Fully extend and lower the steering column.

  2. Release the tabs and position the gap hider aside. Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

  3. Release the upper steering column shroud front tabs.

    1. Rotate the steering wheel 90 degrees to the left.
    2. Release the LH tab. Use the General Equipment: Flat-Bladed Screwdriver
    3. Rotate the steering wheel 180 degrees to the right.
    4. Release the RH tab. Use the General Equipment: Flat-Bladed Screwdriver

  4. Release the outer clips on each side and remove the steering column upper shroud. Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

  5. Remove the lower steering column shroud bolts.

    Torque: 22 lb.in (2.5 Nm)

  6. Remove the lower steering column shroud.
