Active Grille Shutter Actuator: Removal

Upper active grille shutter actuator 

  1. Remove the upper active grille shutter. Refer to: Active Grille Shutter .
  2. Release the clips, and remove the linkage.

  3. NOTE: The upper active grille shutter actuator is not interchangeable with the lower active grill shutter actuator. Do not attempt to replace one actuator with the other.

    Remove the retainer and the upper active grille shutter actuator.

    Lower active grille shutter actuator 

  4. Remove the front bumper cover. Refer to: Front Bumper Cover .
  5. Disconnect the electrical connector.

  6. Remove the clip.

  7. NOTE: The upper active grille shutter actuator is not interchangeable with the lower active grill shutter actuator. Do not attempt to replace one actuator with the other.

    Remove the lower active grille shutter actuator.
