ACM Signal Output
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2018 Lincoln Navigator. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
If equipped with a DSP (Bang & Olufsen system), an ACM audio signal is output over the Automobile Audio Bus (A2B) cable to the DSP power amplifier. The power amplifier may power all, or only a portion, of the vehicle speakers. Output may include stereo, center or subwoofer channels.
A speaker circuit short to ground or power can be detected by the DSP. If a speaker circuit issue is detected, the DSP may disable speakers to prevent damage to the amplifier. A DTC sets to identify which speaker circuits are causing the issue.
