Image Processing Module B (IPMB): Removal

  1. NOTE: If installing a new IPMB, it is necessary to upload the module configuration information to the scan tool prior to removing the module. This information must be downloaded into the new IPMB after installation.

    Using a diagnostic scan tool, begin the PMI process for the IPMB following the onscreen instructions.

  2. Release the clips and remove the instrument panel finish panel.

    • Position the front door weatherstrip aside.

  3. Remove the LH front door scuff plate.
  4. Release the clips and remove the steering column closeout panel.

  5. Remove the pin type retainers and the LH under dash closeout panel.

  6. Disconnect the connectors.

  7. Remove the screws and the IPMB.
