Removal And Installation: Radiator: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to:Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding .
  2. Remove the cooling fan motor and shroud. Refer to: Cooling Fan Motor and Shroud .
  3. Release the clamps and disconnect the upper radiator hose and the coolant hose.

  4. Pull the lower radiator hose spring clip until the end of the clip is in the detent on the quick connect coupling and disconnect the lower radiator hose.

  5. Remove the active grille shutter. Refer to: Active Grille Shutter .
  6. Remove the pin-type retainers.

  7. Remove the radiator retainers and tilt cooling module backwards.

    Torque: 133 lb.in (15 Nm)

  8. Remove the condenser retainers.

    Torque: 62 lb.in (7 Nm)

  9. Release the tab and position the condenser upward to separate the condenser from the radiator.

  10. Remove the radiator.
