Intake Manifold: Removal

- Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to: Battery Cables .
- Remove the engine appearance cover retainers, release the engine appearance cover from the rear retainers and then remove the engine appearance cover.
- Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe. Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe .
- Release the clip and disconnect the charge air cooler outlet pipe.

- Disconnect the quick release coupling. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .
- Loosen the clamp and position the charge air cooler outlet pipe aside.
- Disconnect the throttle body electrical connector and wiring harness retainer.
- Remove the PCV tube. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling

- Disconnect the MAPT electrical connector and the wire harness retainers from the intake manifold.

- Disconnect the fuel vapor tube to the intake manifold. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .
- Disconnect the vacuum hose.
- Disconnect the hose couplings at turbocharger outlet tube. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling

- Disconnect the EVAP purge solenoid electrical connector and quick connect coupling. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .
- Lift the EVAP purge valve off of the intake manifold mounting tab.
- Remove the bolts and the intake manifold.

- Remove and discard the intake manifold gaskets.
- Clean and inspect all of the sealing surfaces of the cylinder heads and the intake manifold.
