Differential Draining and Filling

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting .
- Remove the rear axle fluid drain plug and allow the axle fluid to drain.
Filling
- Install the rear axle fluid drain plug.
Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)
- Remove the rear axle fluid fill plug.
- Fill the differential with clean differential gear lubricant. Refer to: Specifications .
- Install the rear axle fluid fill plug.
Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)
