Differential Carrier - Vehicles With: Electronic Limited-Slip Differential: Assembly

- Apply a new, continuous 2-3mm bead of maximum strength retaining compound on the rear face of the ring gear in the pattern shown in the figure.
Material: Motorcraft® Silicone Gasket and Sealant / TA-30 (WSE-M4G323-A4)

NOTE: Tighten the ring gear bolts in a cross pattern.
Install the ring gear and the new differential ring gear bolts.
Torque: 140 lb.ft (190 Nm)

NOTE: Make sure new a component is installed.
Install the hydraulic actuator assembly to the differential case. Refer to: Hydraulic Actuator .
- Using the special tools, install the new differential bearings. Use Special Service Tool: 205-D044 (D81T-4221-A) Installer, Differential Carrier Bearing.
- Install the differential carrier. Refer to: Differential Carrier - Vehicles With: Electronic Limited-Slip Differential .
