Symptom Chart Electronic Limited Slip Differential (ELSD) System

Vehicle has no or inadequate torque at rear wheels Wiring, terminals or connectors of DCMR

DCMR Failure
CHECK the DCMR, PCM or TCM for DTCs, RESOLVE them first. If inadequate torque at the rear wheels is still present, using a diagnostic scan tool PERFORM the eLSD service routine.
Vehicle binds in a turn or resists turning/pulsates Wiring, terminals or connectors of DCMR.eLSD is mechanically stuck locked.
Binding is from 4x4 system.
Verify axle is binding, disengage 4x4, using a diagnostic scan tool PERFORM the eLSD service routine. Raise the vehicle on a hoist. REFER to: Jacking and Lifting . While holding one rear wheel stationary, attempt to rotate the other rear wheel. If there is a mechanical failure the wheel won't rotate. REFER to: Differential Carrier - Vehicles With: Electronic Limited-Slip Differential .
The electronic locking differential (ELD) IPC indicator is never on - the ELD switch LED does not light IPC
