Upper Arm: Installation

  1. NOTE: Only tighten the nuts and bolts finger tight at this stage.

    Install the upper arm and install the new upper arm-to-frame bolt, washer, camber set shim and flagnut.

  2. Position the upper arm into the wheel knuckle.

  3. NOTE: Only tighten the nut finger tight at this stage.

    Install the new upper arm nut.

  4. Install the wheel and tire. Refer to: Wheel and Tire .
  5. Lower the vehicle so that the weight of the vehicle is on the wheel and tire assemblies.
    1. Tighten the upper arm-to-wheel knuckle nut.

      Torque: 46 lb.ft (63 Nm)

    2. Tighten the upper arm-to-frame bolt.

      Torque: 166 lb.ft (225 Nm)

  6. Check and if necessary adjust rear camber. Refer to: REAR CAMBER ADJUSTMENT .
