Overview - Oil Pan/Oil Pump: Notes

NOTE:
If large quantities of metal shavings or abraded material are found in the engine oil while servicing the engine, the oil passages must be carefully cleaned to prevent resulting damage and the engine oil cooler must be replaced.
The oil level must not exceed the max. marking or the catalytic converter will be damaged.
Oil injector jet for piston cooling. Refer to Fig 1.
Oil Pan/Oil Pump
- Oil Level Thermal Sensor -G266-
- Removing and installing. Refer to Oil Level Thermal Sensor -G266-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- O-ring
- Always replace
- Bolt
- Tightening specification and sequence. Refer to Fig 3.
- Always replace
- Oil Pan Lower Section
- Removing and installing. Refer to OIL PAN LOWER SECTION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Bolt
- 3 Nm + 90°
- Always replace
- Oil Baffle
- Bolt
- Steel bolts 9 Nm
- Aluminum bolts 3 Nm + 90°
- Aluminum bolts: Always replace
- Depending on the version aluminum or steel bolts
- Intake Line
- Bolt
- 9 Nm
- O-ring
- Always replace
- Bolt
- Tightening specification and sequence. Refer to Fig 4.
- Always replace
- Oil Pump
- With brake booster vacuum pump
- Do not disassemble
- Removing and installing. Refer to OIL PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- O-ring
- Always replace
- Alignment Sleeves
- Quantity: 2
- Input Shaft
- For the oil pump
- Pressure Spring
- Retainer
- Chain Sprocket
- For the oil pump
- Installed position: the side with lettering on it faces the engine
- Bolt
- 30 Nm + 45°
- Always replace
- To loosen, counterhold on sprocket with Wrench - Pin Type:3212 .
- If it is not possible to tighten the bolt to the specification, remove the oil pan lower section and the oil baffle and counterhold the bolt with an open end wrench on the oil pump driveshaft.

- Steel bolts 9 Nm
- Aluminum bolts 3 Nm + 90°
- Aluminum bolts: Always replace
- Depending on the version aluminum or steel bolts
- Oil Return Pipe
- O-ring
- Always replace
- Oil Drain Plug
- 30 Nm
- Bolt
- 9 Nm
NOTE:
Replace the bolts that were tightened with an additional turn.
-- Tighten the bolts in three steps and in the sequence shown:

NOTE:
Replace the bolts that were tightened with an additional turn.
