Deposits in the plenum chamber such as leaves or pine needles can collect in the water drains and prevent water from draining out of the plenum chamber. This can cause the water level in the plenum chamber to increase (for example, in car washes and heavy rain). The water enter the vehicle interior through the grommets or the fresh air intake housing.
-- Remove the plenum chamber cover. Refer to PLENUM CHAMBER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Checking the water drain on the driver side
-- Remove the plenum chamber E-box. Refer to appropriate service information. .
-- Check the water drain grommets -1- and water drains -arrows- below the E-box for debris.
-- Check the plenum chamber for debris.
-- Remove any debris.
