Oil Pan, Removing And Installing: Installing
Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
- Tightening specifications. Refer to OVERVIEW - ATF SYSTEM .
Replace the seal.
Replace the ATF pan bolts.
With high mileage vehicles, replace the ATF strainer when the ATF pan is removed OIL SCREEN, REMOVING AND INSTALLING . Otherwise the ATF strainer must be replaced only if it is damaged.
-- Clean all magnets in the ATF oil pan. Make sure the magnets are in full contact with the ATF oil pan.
-- Clean the sealing surface from all sealant residue.
-- Install the four Oil Sump Assembly Pin T40199 in locations -10, 11, 12, and 13- with the ATF pan removed.
The Oil Sump Assembly Pin T40199 center the gasket and the ATF oil pan. This will make sure the ATF oil pan seals correctly.
-- Install the new gasket and ATF oil pan over the Oil Sump Assembly Pin T40199.
-- Tighten the new ATF oil pan bolts in the following sequence: -1 to 9-.
-- Remove the four Oil Sump Assembly Pin T40199.
-- Install the remaining bolts in sequence -10, 11, 12, and 13-.
-- Install the subframe crossbrace. Refer to SUBFRAME CROSSBRACE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Install tunnel crossmember. Refer to TUNNEL CROSSMEMBER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Fill the ATF. Refer to ATF, DRAINING AND FILLING .
