Active Steering Safety Lock Actuator -F437-, Removing And Installing: Installing

Installation is the reverse of removal, with special attention to the following:

-- Position the Active Steering Safety Lock Actuator -F437- as marked before removal and secure as listed in the following table using bolts -1 and 2- and the socket provided in the repair set.

Sequence Screw Number Tightening Specification
1 1 2 Nm initial torque and then an additional 2 Nm
2 2 4 Nm initial torque and then an additional 2 Nm
3 1 8 Nm initial torque and then an additional 2 Nm
4 2 8 Nm initial torque and then an additional 2 Nm

-- Connect the connector to the Active Steering Safety Lock Actuator -F437- (dynamic steering).

-- Erase the DTC memory.

-- Perform an initializing drive - turn the vehicle 45° to the left/right from the straight-ahead position.

Functional Check 

Check the function of the steering during the road test and a fenced off area.
