Side Panel Wheel Cover
- Side Panel Trim
- Removing:
-- Remove the bolts under the wheel housing liner.
-- Remove the expanding clip under the wheel housing liner, heat the adhesive surface with a hot air blower and remove the trim in stages.
- Installing:
-- Clean the adhesive surface with Cleaning Solution D 009 401 04 and remove adhesive residue with Adhesive Strip Remover VAS6349, if necessary.
-- Apply the Adhesive -D 355 205 A2- with Applicator -D 009 500 25- in the adhesion area and let it dry for 10 minutes.
-- Bend the protective film sideways so that they can be reached when the side panel trim is dismantled.
-- Place it on the sill panel trim and door cover according to the contour with gap dimensions when installing. Refer to Side Panel Gap Dimension/Sill Panel Trim .
-- Remove the protective film on the removal tabs between the side panel and trim and press it on by hand in stages.
-- Tighten the bolts in the order center; rear and front.
-- Install the expanding clip in the cover.
- Removing:
- Adhesive Tape
- Pull off protective foil before installing
- Wheel Housing Liner
- Bolt
- 2.5 Nm
- Rear Door Trim
- To remove, warm adhesive surfaces with hot air gun and gradually pull off trim.
-- Clean the adhesive surface with Cleaning Solution D 009 401 04 and remove adhesive residue with Adhesive Strip Remover VAS6349, if necessary.
-- Apply the Adhesive -D 355 205 A2- with Applicator -D 009 500 25- in the adhesion area and let it dry for 10 minutes.
- Position according to contours when installing and gradually press on firmly by hand.
- To remove, warm adhesive surfaces with hot air gun and gradually pull off trim.
