Overview - Center Differential Housing With Flange Shaft (Bolted Driveshaft)

- Center Differential Housing
- With or without vibration dampener, depending on version
- Removing and Installing with transmission installed. Refer to CENTER DIFFERENTIAL HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, BOLTED DRIVESHAFT .
- Servicing. Refer to CENTER DIFFERENTIAL HOUSING, SERVICING .
- Flange shaft seal, replacing. Refer to CENTER DIFFERENTIAL HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, BOLTED DRIVESHAFT and CENTER DIFFERENTIAL HOUSING, SERVICING .
- Bolt
- 10 Nm + 90° turn
- Aluminum bolts (M8; 35 mm long)
- Always replace
- Quantity: 9 or 11
- Bolt
Aluminum Bolts
- 10 Nm + 90° additional turn
- Quantity: 2
- Always replace.

Steel Bolts (38 mm long possible with M8 threaded pin)
- 15 Nm + 90° additional turn
- Quantity: 2
- Bolt
- 15 Nm + 90° turn
- Steel bolts (M8; 55 mm long)
- Quantity: 2
- Pressure Spring
- Plate Spring
- Installed position: the camber on the inner diameter faces toward the flange shaft.
- Shim
- Center Differential
- Servicing not possible.
- Replacing the center differential bearing. Refer to GEARS AND SHAFTS, DISASSEMBLING AND ASSEMBLING .
- Removing and installing. Refer to CENTER DIFFERENTIAL HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Shim
- For positioning the center differential
- Determine the thickness. Refer to GEARS AND SHAFTS, DISASSEMBLING AND ASSEMBLING .
- Spacer Sleeve
- Gear Carrier
- Pay attention to the installed position to the transmission cover. Refer to CENTER DIFFERENTIAL HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, BOLTED DRIVESHAFT - "Install the gear carrier on the transmission as follows" (See Figure).

- Side shaft/pinion drive wheel
