Gear Recognition Sensor -G604-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Installing

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

-- Replace the O-rings -4-.

CAUTION:

There is a risk of breaking or causing malfunctions in the Gear Recognition Sensor -G604- during installation.

The Gear Recognition Sensor -G604- -3- may not be banged or bolted -1- into the transmission.
The O-rings -4- and the opening in the transmission cover must be lubricated with transmission fluid.
The Gear Recognition Sensor -G604- -3- may be lightly pressed on with an aid, for example a hammer shaft.

-- Secure the Gear Recognition Sensor -G604- with the bolt -1-. Tightening specification. Refer to Tightening Specification .

-- Connect the connector -1- and lock if necessary.

-- Install the tunnel crossmember -arrows-, refer to -item 2- Bolt.

-- Assemble the exhaust system making sure it is not under stress. Refer to EXHAUST PIPES/MUFFLERS for 2.0L, engine codes CAED, CAEB, CPMB, CPMA, EXHAUST PIPES/MUFFLERS for 3.0L, engine codes CCBA, CGXC, CTUB, or EXHAUST PIPES/MUFFLERS for 3.2L, engine code CALA .

-- Install the noise insulation. Refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .
