Overview - Clutch Module

NOTE:

Clutch module -2- servicing. Refer to CLUTCH MODULE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

  1. - Alignment Pins
    • Not equipped for all vehicles; completely omitted from approximately 09/2007
    • The alignment pins -A- (if equipped) must lock in the hole -B- when attaching the clutch module -2- to the drive plate -1-.
  2. - Alignment Bore
    • The alignment pins -A- (if equipped) must lock in the hole -B- when attaching the clutch module -2- to the drive plate -1-.
      CAUTION:

      The clutch will not function properly if it is not installed correctly.

      • The clutch may have noticeable function problems if the alignment pins for the drive plate -A- are not inside the hole in the clutch module -B-.
      • Locating pins -A- are discontinued as of approximately 09/2007.
  1. - Drive Plate (see Fig 1).
  2. - Clutch Module (see Fig 1).
  3. - Bolt (see Fig 1).

    Bolt

    • 60 Nm
    • For mounting the dual flywheel to the drive plate
    • Quantity: three on a 4-cylinder engine
    • Quantity: 6 with 6- and 8-cylinder engines
    • Always replace.
    • Follow the tightening sequence. Refer to TIGHTENING SEQUENCE - CLUTCH MODULE TO DRIVE PLATE .
