Wiring Harness In Transmission, Removing And Installing: Removing

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
CAUTION:

There is a risk of destroying the transmission control module (Mechatronic) with static discharge.

  • Before touching or removing the Mechatronics unit, you must first discharge yourself of any static electricity by touching (bare handed) some grounded metal object (e.g. car, lifting platform).
  • Never touch contacts in 16-pin connector, as the static charge could destroy the control module and thus the Mechatronic unit.

-- Remove the Mechatronic. Refer to MECHATRONIC, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- To discharge static electricity, touch the transmission housing (without wearing gloves).
