Ribbed Belt, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the supercharger ribbed belt, refer to SUPERCHARGER RIBBED BELT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bolt -arrow-.

-- Push the idler roller to the fan shroud.

NOTE:

The idler roller cannot be removed.

The installed position is shown in the illustration with the engine removed.

Ignore item -1-.

-- Remove the bolt -2- on the left front coolant pipe.

NOTE:

The installation location is shown with the engine removed.

Ignore the -arrows-.

-- Remove the bolt -1- for the left front coolant pipes.

CAUTION:

Risk of damage due to reversed running direction on a used ribbed belt.

For installing the ribbed belt again, mark the running direction with chalk or a felt tip pen.

-- To release the tension on the ribbed belt, swivel the tensioner clockwise in direction of -arrow- and then lock using a Locking Pin T10060A.

-- Remove the ribbed belt.
