-- Turn off the ignition and remove the key.
-- Remove the luggage compartment floor covering -3-.
-- Remove the dirt tray, if applicable.
-- If equipped, remove the subwoofer -2-, refer to Subwoofer -R211-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Fold back the carpet -1- over the cover.
-- Unlock the retaining tabs -arrows- and open the cover -1-.
NOTE:
The cover is available with varying numbers of retaining clips.
-- Open the cover -1- over the battery negative terminal.
-- Loosen the nut several turns and remove the battery ground cable terminal -arrow- from the battery pole.
