Removal [08/2013 - ]

NOTE:
When the brake pedal is first depressed after replacing the brake pads or pushing back the disc brake piston, DTC C1214 may be output. As there is no malfunction, clear the DTC.
HINT:
- Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.
- The following procedure is for the LH side.
- If the sensor rotor needs to be replaced, replace the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.
- The rear speed sensor is a component of the rear axle hub and bearing assembly. If the rear speed sensor malfunctions, replace the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.
- PRECAUTION NOTE:
After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notice before proceeding with work. Refer to PRECAUTION [08/2013 - ] .
- DISABLE BRAKE CONTROL . Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - ] - Step 2
- REMOVE REAR WHEEL
- SEPARATE REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY . Refer to REPLACEMENT [08/2013 - ] - Step 4
- REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE ADJUSTING HOLE PLUG . Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - ] - Step 15
- REMOVE REAR DISC . Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - ] - Step 16
- DISCONNECT SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE
- Using a screwdriver, disconnect the connector from the rear speed sensor.

- Using a screwdriver, disconnect the connector from the rear speed sensor.
- REMOVE REAR AXLE HUB AND BEARING ASSEMBLY
- Remove the rear axle hub and bearing assembly. Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - ] - Step 8
