Removal [08/2013 - ]

NOTE:

When removing the cooler expansion valve by itself, be sure to install a new cooler expansion valve and new bolt for the suction pipe sub-assembly.

  1. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM  See step  1
  2. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - ]

  3. REMOVE FRONT OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - ] - Step 4
  4. DISCONNECT NO. 1 BRAKE ACTUATOR TUBE  See step  4
  5. DISCONNECT SUCTION PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY  See step  7
  6. DISCONNECT AIR CONDITIONER TUBE AND ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY  See step  8
  7. REMOVE COOLER EXPANSION VALVE 
    1. Using a 4 mm hexagon wrench, remove the 2 hexagon bolts.

    2. Temporarily install the bolt for the suction pipe sub-assembly halfway to the cooler expansion valve.

    3. Hold the bolt and pull it to remove the cooler expansion valve as shown in the illustration.

    4. Remove the 2 O-rings from the No. 1 cooler evaporator sub-assembly.
