- D1 CHECK THE REAR BUMPER WIRING HARNESS
- Ignition OFF.
- Inspect the rear bumper wiring harness for opens, shorts, grounds, or corrosion.
Is the bumper wiring harness OK?
Yes GO to D2 No REPAIR or INSTALL a new bumper wiring harness. - D2 CHECK THE LHR (LEFT-HAND REAR) OUTER PARKING AID SENSOR FOR AN INTERNAL SHORT
- For vehicles without active park assist disconnect: LHR Outer Parking Aid Sensor C4009 .
- For vehicles with active park assist disconnect: LHR Outer Parking Aid Sensor C4544 .
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and repeat the PAM self-test.
Is DTC B1B58:11 present?
Yes GO to D3 No INSTALL a new LHR outer parking aid sensor. REFER to: Rear Parking Aid Sensor . - D3 CHECK THE LHR (LEFT-HAND REAR) INNER PARKING AID SENSOR FOR AN INTERNAL SHORT
- Ignition OFF.
- For vehicles without active park assist disconnect: LHR Inner Parking Aid Sensor C4010 .
- For vehicles with active park assist disconnect: LHR Inner Parking Aid Sensor C4545 .
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and repeat the PAM self-test.
Is DTC B1B58:11 present?
Yes GO to D4 No INSTALL a new LHR inner parking aid sensor. REFER to: Rear Parking Aid Sensor . - D4 CHECK THE RHR (RIGHT-HAND REAR) INNER PARKING AID SENSOR FOR AN INTERNAL SHORT
- Ignition OFF.
- For vehicles without active park assist disconnect: RHR Inner Parking Aid Sensor C4012 .
- For vehicles with active park assist disconnect: RHR Inner Parking Aid Sensor C4546 .
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and repeat the PAM self-test.
Is DTC B1B58:11 present?
Yes GO to D5 No INSTALL a new RHR inner parking aid sensor. REFER to: Rear Parking Aid Sensor . - D5 CHECK THE RHR (RIGHT-HAND REAR) OUTER PARKING AID SENSOR FOR AN INTERNAL SHORT
- Ignition OFF.
- For vehicles without active park assist disconnect: RHR Outer Parking Aid Sensor C4011 .
- For vehicles with active park assist disconnect: RHR Outer Parking Aid Sensor C4547 .
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and repeat the PAM self-test.
Is DTC B1B58:11 present?
Yes For vehicles with active park assist, GO to D6For vehicles without active park assist, GO to D8 No INSTALL a new RHR outer parking aid sensor. REFER to: Rear Parking Aid Sensor . - D6 CHECK THE RHR (RIGHT-HAND REAR) SIDE ACTIVE PARK ASSIST SENSOR FOR AN INTERNAL SHORT
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect: RHR side active park assist sensor C4421 .
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and repeat the PAM self-test.
Is DTC B1B58:11 present?
Yes GO to D7 No INSTALL a new RHR side active park assist sensor. REFER to: Rear Parking Aid Sensor . - D7 CHECK THE LHR (LEFT-HAND REAR) SIDE ACTIVE PARK ASSIST SENSOR FOR AN INTERNAL SHORT
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect: LHR Side Active Park Assist Sensor C4420 .
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and repeat the PAM self-test.
Is DTC B1B58:11 present?
Yes GO to D8 No INSTALL a new LHR side active park assist sensor. REFER to: Rear Parking Aid Sensor . - D8 CHECK THE REAR PARKING AID SENSOR VOLTAGE SUPPLY CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
- Ignition OFF.
- For vehicles without active park assist disconnect: BCM C2280D .
- For vehicles with active park assist disconnect: PAM C4226A .
- For vehicles without active park assist measure:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead C2280D-26 Ground
- For vehicles with active park assist measure:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead C4226A-3 Ground
Is the resistance greater than 10, 000 ohms?
Yes GO to D9 No REPAIR the circuit. - D9 CHECK THE PARKING AID SENSOR VOLTAGE SUPPLY CIRCUIT AND GROUND CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TOGETHER
- For vehicles without active park assist measure:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead C2280D-26 C2280D-27
- For vehicles with active park assist measure:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead C4226A-3 C4226A-10
Is the resistance greater than 10, 000 ohms?
Yes For vehicles without active park assist, GO to D10. For vehicles with active park assist, GO to D11 No REPAIR the circuit. - For vehicles without active park assist measure:
- D10 CHECK FOR CORRECT BCM (BODY CONTROL MODULE) OPERATION
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect and inspect all BCM connectors.
- Repair:
- corrosion (install new connector or terminals - clean module pins)
- damaged or bent pins - install new terminals/pins
- pushed-out pins - install new pins as necessary
- Reconnect the BCM connectors. Make sure they seat and latch correctly.
- Operate the system and determine if the concern is still present.
Is the concern still present?
Yes CHECK OASIS for any applicable service articles: TSB, GSB, SSM or FSA. If a service article exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW the service article instructions. If no service articles address this concern, BCM guided routine is not applicable for this vehicle and market. Replace the component that was faulted through service information diagnosis. No The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues. - D11 CHECK FOR CORRECT PAM (PARKING ASSIST CONTROL MODULE) OPERATION
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect and inspect all PAM connectors.
- Repair:
- corrosion (install new connector or terminals - clean module pins)
- damaged or bent pins - install new terminals/pins
- pushed-out pins - install new pins as necessary
- Reconnect the PAM connectors. Make sure they seat and latch correctly.
- Operate the system and determine if the concern is still present.
Is the concern still present?
Yes CHECK OASIS for any applicable service articles: TSB, GSB, SSM or FSA. If a service article exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW the service article instructions. If no service articles address this concern, INSTALL a new PAM. REFER to: Parking Assist Control Module (PAM) . No The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues.
