Pinpoint Test Bi : The Power Luggage Compartment Lid Chime Is Inoperative

BI1 CHECK THE SEATBELT WARNING CHIME OPERATION
- Ignition OFF.
- Ignition ON.
- Monitor the seatbelt warning chime when the ignition switch is transitioned from OFF to RUN for 6 seconds.
Does the seatbelt warning chime operate for approximately 6 seconds?

Yes GO to BI2

No GO to Pinpoint Test BJ

BI2 CHECK THE OPERATION OF THE POWER LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LID
- Open and close the power luggage compartment lid.
Does the power luggage compartment lid operate correctly in both the open and close modes?

Yes GO to BI3

No REFER to: Locks, Latches and Entry Systems .

BI3 PERFORM THE IPC (INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER) SELF-TEST
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.
Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded?

Yes REFER to DTC Chart: Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) .

No GO to BI4

BI4 CHECK THE GWM (GATEWAY MODULE A) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, check the GWM Continuous Memory Diagnostic Trouble Codes (CMDTCs).
Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded?

Yes REFER to: Communications Network .

No INSTALL a new RGTM. Refer to: Rear Gate Trunk Module (RGTM) .
