Divided Front Center Armrest, Separating

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required 

• Torque wrench V.A.G 1410

Cutting 

• Remove split center armrest → Divided Front Center Armrest, Removing and Installing .

• Remove bolt - 1  -.
• Separate the center armrests from each other.
• Remove upper trim support foot - 4  -.

5 - Right center armrest

Assembling 

• Install upper trim support foot - 4  -.
• Connect the center armrest.
• Fold the center armrest up (top position).
• Bring both center armrests into the same location by moving one support foot half - 2  - or - 3  -.

• Bolt support foot halves - 2  - and - 3  - to each other.
• Mark the location of the support base halves to each other.
• Fold the center armrest down (bottom position). Both center armrests must have the same position.
• If this is not the case, loosen bolt - 1  -.

• Slide support foot halves - 2  - and - 3  - toward each other.
• Repeat the adjusting procedure until the center armrest are in the same location in the top and bottom positions.
• Install split center armrest → Divided Front Center Armrest, Removing and Installing .

Tightening torque: 

Threaded connections on support base halves: 15 Nm
