Parking Lamp Bulb, Replacing
NOTE:
- On vehicles with gas discharge headlamps with LED lights, LED module replaces high beam/daytime running lights and parking light bulbs. The LED module cannot be replaced. The entire headlamp must be replaced
Removing
CAUTION:
Risk of injury due to high voltage, injury risk and environmental hazard.
- Usage and safety information for gas discharge headlamps → 94 - LIGHTS, SWITCHES - EXTERIOR .
- With ignition switched off, disconnect battery Ground (GND) wire → Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting .
Left headlamp - Vehicles with 8-cyl. engine:
- Remove reservoir for power steering → Power Steering Fluid Reservoir, Removing .
Left headlamp - vehicles with 12-cyl. engine:
- Remove air filter housing → Left Air Filter Housing, 12-Cylinder, Removing .
Right headlamp - Vehicles with 8-cyl. engine:
- Remove upper section of air filter housing → Air Filter Housing Upper Section, 8-Cylinder, Removing .
Right headlamp - vehicles with 12-cyl. engine:
- Remove air filter housing → Right Air Filter Housing, 12-Cylinder, Removing .
All Vehicles
- Disengage retaining tabs - arrows - and remove high beam housing cover from headlamp housing.
- Remove parking light socket - arrow - from housing.
- Pull light bulb for parking light out of socket.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:
- Insert new bulb into socket, do not touch glass cone with bare hands when doing so.
- Push socket into reflector until it engages noticeably.
- Close the housing lid.
- Connect battery. Required actions → Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting .
