Checking rotor on rear axle

Raise vehicle.
Remove wheel.
Remove speed sensor from wheel bearing housing.
Inspect rotor for signs of damage or dirt.

Removing and installing rotor on rear axle

Removing

Raise vehicle.
Remove wheel.
Remove brake caliper → Brake pads, removing and installing .
Hang up brake caliper on body.

Inspect rotor for signs of damage or dirt.
If rotor is damaged, remove drive axle with rotor and replace outer joint.
Removing and installing drive axle → 42 - REAR SUSPENSION

Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal.

Route speed sensor wire back in original position.
Before installing, lubricate speed sensor seal all around with lubricating paste G 000 650 .

NOTE:

If rotor is damaged or dirty, remove drive axle. If damaged, replace outer CV joint together with rotor.
The outer CV joint is supplied as a replacement part with the rotor. → 42 - REAR SUSPENSION
