Front Parking Aid Sensor, Removing And Installing

Component location: Inside the bumper -arrows-.

Removal

Inner sensor:

-- Remove front bumper cover, refer to FRONT BUMPER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- If equipped, release left and right retaining clips in direction of -arrows- and remove filler piece -1-.

Outer Sensors:

Vehicles with Gasoline Engine:

-- Remove air intake grille -1- in upper part of bumper cover in direction of -arrow-.

Vehicles with 6-Cylinder and 8-Cylinder TDI Engine:

Vehicles with S Line Equipment:

-- Remove front bumper cover, refer to FRONT BUMPER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

All Vehicles:

-- Reach through opening.

-- Press both retainer tabs to side in direction of -arrows- and press sensor -2- from outside towards inside.

-- Disconnect electrical harness connector -1- at sensor.

Installation

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Inner Sensor:

-- Install front bumper cover, refer to FRONT BUMPER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Outer Sensors:

Vehicles with S Line Equipment:

-- Install front bumper cover, refer to FRONT BUMPER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
