Reducing Agent Transfer Pump -V436-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Removal
Follow all safety precautions. Refer to WORKING ON REDUCING AGENT METERING SYSTEM, VEHICLES WITH SCR CATALYTIC CONVERTER .
Follow the guidelines for clean working conditions. Refer to FUEL SUPPLY, INJECTION SYSTEM AND CHARGING SYSTEM CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .
Danger due to reducing agent leaking out.
- To prevent large amounts of reducing agent when opening the metering line, wait for the recirculation process to complete WORKING ON REDUCING AGENT METERING SYSTEM, VEHICLES WITH SCR CATALYTIC CONVERTER .
-- Remove the reducing agent passive tank (lower). Refer to REDUCING AGENT PASSIVE TANK, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Place a clean cloth under the separating location to catch any reducing agent that may leak out.
Seal off all open lines and connections with clean plugs.
The reducing agent can cause skin irritation.
- Avoid contact with skin and eyes! Always wear protective gloves and safety glasses.
- If reducing agent should get on your skin, wash it off immediately with soap and water.
- If reducing agent gets in your eye, rinse the eye for several minutes with water.
- Never inhale or swallow the reducing agent!
- Should you swallow any reducing agent, rinse your mouth, drink plenty of water and contact a doctor immediately.
-- Remove the transfer line -1- by pressing the release button.
-- Clamp off the hose -5- with the Hose Clamps - Up To 25mm 3094.
-- Carefully remove the hose from the connection on the Reducing Agent Transfer Pump -V436-.
-- Disconnect the connector -3-.
-- Remove the screw -4- and remove the Reducing Agent Transfer Pump -V436- and rubber bracket -2-.
