Reducing Agent Delivery Unit, Removing And Installing: Removal

Follow all safety precautions. Refer to WORKING ON REDUCING AGENT METERING SYSTEM, VEHICLES WITH SCR CATALYTIC CONVERTER .

Follow the guidelines for clean working conditions. Refer to FUEL SUPPLY, INJECTION SYSTEM AND CHARGING SYSTEM CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .

-- Remover the reducing agent active tank. Refer to REDUCING AGENT ACTIVE TANK, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

NOTE:

Place a clean cloth under the separating location to catch any reducing agent that may leak out.

WARNING:

The reducing agent can cause skin irritation.

  • Avoid contact with skin and eyes! Always wear protective gloves and safety glasses.
  • If reducing agent should get on your skin, wash it off immediately with soap and water.
  • If reducing agent gets in your eye, rinse the eye for several minutes with water.
  • Never inhale or swallow the reducing agent!
  • Should you swallow any reducing agent, rinse your mouth, drink plenty of water and contact a doctor immediately.

-- Press the release button and disconnect the supply line -3- and return line -1-.

-- Remove the connectors -5- on the bracket and free them up.

-- Remove the union nut -2- using the Wrench - Union Nut T50014 and carefully remove the reducing agent delivery unit -4- upward.

WARNING:

Danger due to reducing agent leaking out.

  • Note that there is still some reducing agent left inside the active tank and reducing agent delivery unit.
