Right Intake Manifold Lower Part, Removing And Installing: Removing

WARNING:

Follow the guidelines for a clean working environment when working on the fuel system. Refer to CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS AND FUEL SYSTEM WORK INSTRUCTIONS .
Always follow these rules before and during work.

-- Remove the engine cover. Refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the intake manifold upper section. Refer to INTAKE MANIFOLD UPPER SECTION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and the high pressure line protective plate.

-- Remove the union nuts -1 and 4- and remove the high pressure line.

NOTE:

Ignore -2 and 3-.

-- Disconnect the connector -2- from the EGR Cooler Pump -V400-.

-- Remove the bolts -1-.

-- Remove the connectors -1 and 2- from the bracket.

-- Disconnect the connector -3- on the Intake Flap Motor -V157-.

-- Press the connecting rod -1- off the Intake Flap Motor -V157-.

NOTE:

Carefully press the connecting rod off the ball studs.

-- Remove the bolts -4-.

NOTE:

Ignore -2-.

-- Disconnect the glow plug connectors for cylinders 1, 2 and 3.

-- Press the electrical wiring harness to the side.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Press the coolant pipe to the side and remove the intake manifold lower section.

NOTE:

Ignore -1-.

Seal the intake channels in cylinder head using a clean rag.
