Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor on Radiator Outlet -G83-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING
Removal
- Engine is cold.
-- Briefly open the coolant reservoir cap to reduce the residual pressure in the coolant system.
-- Carefully pull the engine cover off the 4 bolts one after the other -arrows-.
Use a cloth to catch any leaking coolant.
Vehicles through 05/2010:
-- Disconnect the connector -2-.
-- Remove the clamp and remove the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor on Radiator Outlet -G83-.
Ignore -item 1-.
Vehicles from 06/2010:
-- Disconnect the connector -3-.
-- Remove the retaining clip -2- and the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor on Radiator Outlet -G83-.
Ignore -item 1-.
Installation
Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
Replace the o-ring.
Insert the new Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor on Radiator Outlet -G83- immediately in the connection to prevent coolant loss.
-- Check the coolant level, refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING .
