  1. Left Heat Shield
  2. Fuel Supply Line
  3. Fuel Return Line
  4. Fuel Supply Line
    • To the metering pump for the auxiliary heater
    • Clipped in on fuel tank
  5. Right Heat Shield
  6. Bolt
    • 33 Nm
    • Tightening sequence, refer to Installing 
  7. Mounting Strap
    • Observe varying lengths
    • Pay attention to the installed position.
  8. Nut
    • 9 Nm
  9. Shield
    • For fuel filler tube
  10. Bolt
    • 9 Nm
  11. Rubber Gasket
  12. Cap
    • Attached to the fuel filler door insert with an permanent fastener
  13. Bolt
    • 5 Nm
  14. Ground (GND) Connection
    • For discharging electrostatic charge
    • Make sure the connector fits securely on the fuel filler tube metal ring
    • After installing, check electrical connection of fuel filler tube to a bare area of chassis using Ohm meter - Specified value: approximately 0 Ω
  15. Bolt
    • 9 Nm
  16. Overflow Hose
  17. Vent Line Bracket
  18. Carrier Plate
  19. Bolt
    • 33 Nm
    • Tightening sequence, refer to Installing 
  20. Fuel Tank
  21. Connectors
    • Only vehicles through 10.06
    • For electric fuel pump and fuel level sensor
    • Remains on fuel tank when fuel tank is removed

-- Route the GND connection -1- as shown.

-- Ensure connector of GND connection fits securely at metal ring of fuel filler tube.

NOTE:

Ignore items -2 and 3-.

WARNING:

Danger due to electrostatic charge.

  • After installing, check electrical connection on fuel filler neck metal ring to an empty spot on the body using an Ohm meter.
  • Specified value: approximately 0 Ω.
