Fuel Supply Line To Metering Pump, Bleeding, Vehicles With Parking Heater

NOTE:
After working on the fuel delivery unit, bleed the fuel supply line for the metering pump on vehicles with a parking heater.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Suction PumpVAS5226
- Hand Vacuum PumpVAS6213
Procedure
- Parking heater switched off.
-- Connect the Suction PumpVAS5226 to the compressed air.
-- Remove the fuel supply line -2- from the fuel tank at the metering pump -1-. Disconnect the connector couplings, refer to CONNECTOR COUPLINGS, SEPARATING .
-- Connect the Suction PumpVAS5226 with the adapter from the Hand Vacuum PumpVAS6213 to the fuel supply line and bleed it by extracting briefly.
-- Install the fuel supply line to the metering pump.
-- Switch the parking heater on and let it run approximately 10 minutes at full throttle.
