Overview - Fuel Delivery Unit/Suction JETION Pump/Fuel Level Sensor, Vehicles With 3.0L (V6)/4.2L (V8) Engines From 06/2010

1. Retaining Ring
   • Welded to the fuel tank
2. Fuel Level Sensor -G-
   • Clipped into the retaining ring -1-
   • For checking the resistance values, refer to Fuel Level Sensor -G-, CHECKING .
   • Removing and installing, refer to Fuel Level Sensor -G-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
3. Fuel Delivery Unit
   • With Transfer Fuel Pump -G6-
   • Check the electric fuel pump using Guided Fault Finding  , refer to Vehicle Diagnostic Tester
   • Inserted in the retaining ring -1- and turned 15° clockwise to engage (bayonet connection)
   • Removing and installing, refer to Transfer Fuel Pump - G6-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, VEHICLES WITH 3.0L (V6)/4.2L (V8) ENGINES FROM 06/2010 .
   • Fill the fuel tank with at least 5 liters (5.28 qts) of fuel after installing
4. Right Locking Flange
   • Installed position, refer to Installing 
5. Seal
   • Replacing
   • Install dry
6. Locking Ring
   • Tighten to 110 Nm
   • Remove and install with the Wrench - Fuel Sending UnitT10202
7. Fuel Supply Line
   • To the metering pump for the auxiliary heater
   • Do not kink
   • Clipped in on fuel tank
   • Connector couplings, disconnecting, refer to CONNECTOR COUPLINGS, SEPARATING .
8. Fuel Return Line
   • From engine
   • Do not kink
   • Clipped in on fuel tank
   • Connector couplings, disconnecting, refer to CONNECTOR COUPLINGS, SEPARATING .
9. Fuel Supply Line
   • To fuel filter
   • Do not kink
   • Clipped in on fuel tank
   • Connector couplings, disconnecting, refer to CONNECTOR COUPLINGS, SEPARATING .
10. Locking Ring
    • Tighten to 110 Nm
    • Remove and install with the Wrench - Fuel Sending UnitT10202
11. Seal
    • Replacing
    • Install dry
12. Left Locking Flange
    • Installed position, refer to Installing 
13. Suction Jet Pump
    • Clipped onto the retaining ring -14-
    • Removing and installing, refer to SUCTION JET PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, VEHICLES WITH 3.0L (V6)/4.2L (V8) ENGINES FROM 06/2010 .
    • Different versions.
    • Fill the fuel tank with at least five liters of fuel after installing
14. Retaining Ring
    • Welded to the fuel tank
15. Fuel Level Sensor 2 -G169-
    • Clipped onto the retaining ring -14-
    • For checking the resistance values, refer to Fuel Level Sensor 2 -G169-, CHECKING .
    • Removing and installing, refer to Fuel Level Sensor 2 -G169-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
16. Bolt/Nut
    • 3.5 Nm
    • Quantity: 2
17. Fuel Pump Control Module -J538-
    • Installed location: in the front of the fuel tank above the exhaust system and the driveshaft.
    • Checking in Guided Functions  , refer to Vehicle Diagnostic Tester
    • Removing and installing, refer to Fuel Pump Control Module -J538-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
