ATF Cooler, Removing And Installing: Installing
Install in reverse order of removal. Pay attention to the following:
Tightening specifications: ATF PIPES, ATF THERMOSTAT AND ATF COOLER, 6-CYLINDER 3.6L FSI, ASSEMBLY OVERVIEW
-- Replace o-ring -3- and coat with ATF.
-- Remove plugs, completely insert ATF pipes -2- in ATF cooler -5-.
-- Tighten union nuts -4- while counterholding at ATF cooler.
-- ATF Level, Checking and Filling. Refer to ATF LEVEL, CHECKING AND FILLING .
-- Test ATF pipe connections for leaks and check.
Because ATF pipes from ATF thermostat to ATF cooler were opened, a "ventilation road test" must be performed after ATF check. Afterward, an ATF check must be performed again, see ATF LEVEL, CHECKING AND FILLING
ATF cooling circuit can only be bled if ATF temperature is above 75 °C and the thermostat to ATF cooler opens.
