Fan Shroud, Removing And Installing: Removing
-- Carefully pull the engine cover off the four retaining pins one after the other -arrows-.
-- Pull the cover over the radiator -arrows-, to do this disconnect the lower coolant hose.
-- Remove the front noise insulation -1-. Refer to NOISE INSULATION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Loosen the clamps -1 and 4- and remove the air guide hose.
-- Remove the bolts -2 and 3- and then remove the air guide pipe downward.
-- Remove the bolts -2 and 3-.
-- Loosen the clamps -1 and 4- to remove the air guide hoses from the air guide pipe.
-- Remove the air duct pipe downward.
-- Remove the air guide hose by loosening the hose clamps -arrows-.
-- Disconnect the connector -1-.
-- Remove the bolts -2, 3 and 4- and then remove the air guide pipe from the charge air cooler.
-- Loosen the hose clamps -1 and 2- to remove the upper air guide hose.
-- Loosen the clamp -3- to remove the lower air guide hose.
There is a risk of injury if the radiator fan turns on by itself.
- Disconnect the connectors before working near the fan shroud.
-- Disconnect the connectors -1 and 2- and free up the wires.
-- Press the fan shroud left and right locking tabs at the same time -arrow- and remove the fan shroud upward from the radiator.
