Overview - ATF Pipes, ATF Cooler And ATF Pre-Heater

- Removing and installing. Refer to ATF PREHEATER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING
- The Cooling Oil Valve -N471- is installed in front of the ATF pre-heater. Refer to Figure.

- Insert the pipe all the way by hand before tightening.

- ATF Cooler
- Removing and installing. Refer to ATF PIPES AND ATF COOLER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

- Coat with ATF.

- Depending on the date of manufacture with union nut. Refer to Fig 2.
- Bolts

- Tightening specification. Refer to Fig 2.

- Coat with ATF.
I - Mounting with Clamping Joint
-- Replace the O-rings and coat them with ATF.
-- Insert the ATF pipe all the way into the ATF cooler by hand and then tighten it.
-- Tighten the bolts -1- to 10 Nm.
II - Mounting with Threaded Connection
-- Replace the O-rings and coat them with ATF.
-- Insert the ATF pipe all the way into the ATF cooler by hand and then tighten it.
-- Tighten the union nuts -2- to 20 Nm.
The upper ATF pipe -3- has a pronged ring -1- to protect it from touching the longitudinal member -4-.
If the pronged ring is not there and the ATF pipe is damaged, then the ATF pipe must be replaced.
-- Check the ATF pipes for damage and replace them if necessary.
-- Install the pronged ring -1- around the upper ATF pipe -3- just behind the thermostat -2-.
-- Slide the pronged ring -1- on the ATF toward the ATF cooler until it reaches the illustrated position.
