Lower Timing Chain Cover, Removing And Installing: Removing

• The transmission is removed.

-- Remove the drive plate. Refer to DRIVE PLATE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the turbocharger. Refer to TURBOCHARGER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the left exhaust manifold. Refer to LEFT EXHAUST MANIFOLD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the right exhaust manifold. Refer to RIGHT EXHAUST MANIFOLD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the upper timing chain covers. Refer to TIMING CHAIN GUARD UPPER SECTION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and then tilt the turbocharger bracket -1- to the side.

-- Loosen and remove the bolts in the following sequence: -24 to 1-.

-- Carefully loosen and remove the lower timing chain cover from the bond.

-- Press the transmission side of the crankshaft shaft seal out of the lower timing chain cover.
