Overview - Exhaust Manifold

Nut
- Replace
- Coat the thread with hot bolt paste.
- Tightening specification and sequence. Refer to Fig 2, Fig 3
Bracket
- For heat shield
Exhaust Manifold
- Removing and installing. Refer to LEFT EXHAUST MANIFOLD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING RIGHT EXHAUST MANIFOLD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING
Seal
- Replace
Heat Shield
Bolt
- Tightening specification: 9 Nm
Heated Oxygen Sensor
- Before catalytic converter
- Removing and installing. Refer to HEATED OXYGEN SENSORS -G39- / -G108- / -G130- / -G131-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Catalytic Converter
- Assembly overview. Refer to OVERVIEW - MUFFLER AND CATALYTIC CONVERTER
Nut
- Tightening specification: 23 Nm
- Replace
- Coat the thread with hot bolt paste.
Seal
- Replace

NOTE:

Replace the nuts.

Coat the thread on the nut with hot bolt paste.

-- Tighten the nuts in 3 steps according to the tightening sequence:

Step	Nuts	Tightening Specification
1	1 to 9	Install all the way in by hand.
2	-1 to 9-	15 Nm
3	-1 to 9-	25 Nm

NOTE:

Replace the exhaust manifold nuts.

Coat the thread on the nut with hot bolt paste.

-- Tighten the nuts in 3 steps according to the tightening sequence:

Step	Nuts	Tightening Specification
1	-1 to 9-	Install all the way in by hand.
2	-1 to 9-	15 Nm
3	-1 to 9-	25 Nm
