Overview - Exhaust Gas RECIRCULATION

- If the screw-type clamps -Item 21- OVERVIEW - EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION were loosened, then the EGR pipe and the screw-type clamp must always be replaced

NOTE:
Replace the seals
- The flange at the EGR pipe must not be wavy or bent.
-- Attach the EGR pipe with the seals and the screw-type clamps.
NOTE:
Coat the thread on the bolts with hot bolt paste.
-- Tighten the bolts/screw-type clamps in three steps in the sequence shown:

| 1. | -1 and 2- | Turn them by hand until the bolt heads are touching |
| 2. | -3- | Position them as shown in the illustration 2.5 Nm |
| 3. | -1 and 2- | 9 Nm |
NOTE:
Replace the EGR pipe and the screw-type clamp if the screw-type clamp was loosened.
Replace the bolts that were tightened with an additional turn.
-- Attach the EGR pipe with the seals and the screw-type clamps.
NOTE:
Coat the thread on the bolts with hot bolt paste.
-- Tighten the bolts/screw-type clamps in three steps in the sequence shown:
